We're partnering with Color Resource Center, Street Dreams Magazine, and Fujifilm for our first Film Photography Session featuring photographer Sean Dougherty. The event is intended for individuals who have film cameras as it will be a hands-on session highlighting the beauty and intricacies of analog photography. In this session, you will learn about all the basics including the choosing your film, loading your camera, hands-on shooting techniques, and the selection process.
The day will consist of a one hour photo walk around midtown. We will then return to CRC to have the rolls processed while we have lunch, tour the lab, and have a Q+A with Sean. Once the rolls are processed, we will review the negatives, go through the selection process, and print selects. Attendees will have the option to scan their rolls for an additional cost after the event. Cost of event is $20 and includes lunch, 1-2 rolls of Fujifilm depending on your camera (one roll of 35mm or two rolls of 120mm), processing, prints for photos shot during the photo walk , a tour of the lab, and a Q+A with Sean.
Registration will begin on Wednesday, May 1st. Space is limited to 20 participants.
APA Members receive 50% off the ticket and 25% off scanning services as part of the chapter benefits. Please head to our website if you are not a member and interested in joining.
