Our APA National President, Theresa Raffetto, will be speaking to the students at St. John’s University for APA|NY’s first Student Outreach event!
Theresa Raffetto is known for her use of light and her creative sensibility to capture the textures and shapes of objects on set. While product and food are a main focus, throughout her career she has worked on projects of all size and scope. Her experiences and knowledge gained has made her very versatile, not only as a photographer but also as a director, producer and collaborator. She is as comfortable resolving the job on the spot with great results as working with a definitive vision. She insists her team possess the same strong work ethic and desire to make each job productive and enjoyable. Raffetto has shot ad campaigns for Pampers, cookbooks for Random House, catalogs for Whole Foods and editorial location shoots for Woman’s Day, to name a few. Her work is classic in style and light and airy in feel, “luscious yet simple” as described by the Associated Press. A member of American Photographic Artists (APA), Raffetto currently serves as president on the national board and is a recipient of the 2014 International Photographic Council (IPC) Leadership award.
